The month of January has flown by and been full of suprises!
Keegan has begun to crawl! Not full blown crawling yet, but a good start. He can pull up each leg to get through about one full crawl. This is enough to get his toy or the dog. We are very excited for him and hope that he will continue to get stronger and stronger. We continue Keegan's physical therapy, mostly at home, using our the electrodes and our new lite-gate system.
Every night we go for a walk on the treadmill while we sing and watch the Wiggles. The lite-gate suspends Keegan over the treadmill so that we can walk his legs. He starts out very strong and lifts his legs up in step. He seems much stronger to us than he was in Dec when we were in Baltimore. We keep praying that Keegan will keep up his recovery.
Family
We got to spend the day with my Aunt, Uncle and Cousins. It was great to see and chat with everyone. It's hard to believe my cousin's little kids have grown so fast! It makes me cherish my time with my little man, while he's still a little man. Keegan enjoyed seeing Aunt Nina and playing with his 6 yr old cousins, and their big kid toys. We miss seeing everyone and want to make a point to get together more often. Please keep my Aunt Nina in your prayers, as she is battling cancer.
Home Sweet Home
Well...........we are moving. We found a great deal on a gorgeous ranch style house about 10 minutes from where we are now. Drew liked it and so did I. It was bank owned and they accepted our low - ball offer in 30 minutes. I hope that it is meant to be. We have been thinking for awhile now that our 2 story home with a split level main floor would not be ideal for Keegan longterm. So that means our house is for sale. And for rent. I guess which ever happens first. Please pray that we can sell or rent it soon.
Wish us luck. I'm pretty nervous. I guess I better start packing......... we close on March 2nd. Pics to come.
We are Thankful for Keegan's grandparents. Thanks for all your help in the last few weekends. It has been so nice to be able to get out a few times and leave Keegan with you.
I am Thankful for the heat wave that we had in mid January. Nothing like a 70 degree day and several 50-60 degree days in January to make you love Colorado. I think I needed that to get through the rest of winter. This morning it was back to January, -2 degrees.
